Went on vaction in January to Quepos. I charter a fishing trip With capt. Chris. I had told Chris that I was Only interested in catching A rooster fish and didnt want to go off shore. Chris stated that shouldn’t be a problem to get one. I have been going To Costa Rica three times before to different area ,and was unable to catch a rooster fish. On the 16 th of January 2008 I meet Chris at his boat and we proceded to do some inshore fishing for reooster fish. One good thing that to get on his boat they had docks there. The other places I went to ,you had to walk to the boats in the water. well we started out close to shore. I had told Chris that if I caught a nice Rooster . we are heading in. About a hour after being out there we got a bit. From there on for about 3\4 of a hour fighting a nice size Rooster. Finally after getting the fish in the boat it was indeed a nice rooster. It was 58 inches long and weigh about 60 pounds. Needless to say it made my trip to Quepos a lasting memory. We were heading in after that catch in about 2hrs. I want to thank Chris for being a great Capt. and knowing the spots for good fishing. If I get back to Quepos, I will charter Chris’s boat again.

We just got back from a week in Quepos and 3 days of fishing with Chris. Seth was able to realize his dream of catching a sailfish…and he let me reel one in too! We could not have asked for a better captain than Chris. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and works hard to find the fish. Hopefully we will be back next year (maybe sooner!) and will be able to fish with Chris again.
